'Bush should have died, not Reagan': Morrissey
Bush should have died, not Reagan': Morrissey CONTROVERSIAL: Morrissey MANCHESTER music legend Morrissey sparked controversy when he announced Ronald Reagan's death live on stage during a concert - and then declared he wished it was George Bush who had died instead.Thousands of fans at Dublin Castle, in Ireland, cheered when the ex-Smiths frontman made the announcement that the former American president, who had battled with Alzheimer's Disease, had passed away.
And an even bigger cheer followed when Morrissey - who is no stranger to controversy - then said he wished it had been the current President, George W Bush, who had died.
This is so wrong in so many ways.
I'm done giving Morrissey a free pass - he's an ass - a talented ass but an ass just the same. Saying such a thing is moronic, mean spirited and childish. Another hyprocritical limosine liberal, whose very ability to live the life he leads is thanks in part to men like Bush and Reagan, goes off his meds because his secret plans to rule the world himself haven't been working out. It's immature and assinine rubbish and taints a brilliant career.
I'm even more troubled at the reaction of the crowd. To cheer the death of any person is disgusting, (excepting the truly evil - and no sane person can honestly say either man is (or was) even remotely evil - to do so is to willfully show such massive ignorance and indifferance to fact that it essentially removes you from the debate) to do so about two men who stand among the worlds finest leaders is depressing - a crowd like that belongs in a Beer Hall not concert venue.
A repulsive display by all involved.
